Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How does the Uganda Search Engine Work?

If you search using our bar, 50% of the revenues that Prodege earns through searches, commissions, affiliate programs, etc. come as a check in the mail to Uganda Tree of Life Ministries.

On AVERAGE, we make 3 cents per search!!

To give you a grasp of this potential, here are some examples of how much we can earn:

If 100 supporters do 2 searches a day = Uganda Tree of Life receives $2,190 per year

If 1000 supporters do 2 searches a day = Uganda Tree of Life receives $21,900 per year

If 10000 supporters do 2 searches a day = Uganda Tree of Life receives $219,000 per year

Now to put THAT in perspective...

If you do a little math, you'll know that $22,000 a year could mean a lot of things. It could mean around 700 children are sponsored. It could mean clean water for an entire community, pulling half the diseased population out of their hospital beds (for more information on what clean water can do, click here, and then click here). It could mean education. It could mean better crops for starving people. You see the point.

You don't live in Uganda, but there are ways you can help. There are ways to be a missionary from your computer. Take advantage of the simplicity of this opportunity.

Things YOU can do to help:

  1. Mark ugandasearch.prodege.com as your home page, and use it for searching the web
  2. BETTER YET, download the toolbar, and every time you use IT, help this ministry (It's actually a really nice toolbar too! Lots of cool features, virus scan, etc.)
  3. Tell everyone you think would be interested in supporting this ministry and all of the things it does that they can help us out for free. And then tell them to do all this stuff I'm telling YOU to do

If I sponsor a child, how much of my money really goes to the child?

100% of your tax-deductible donation will go to Uganda to help your sponsored child. You will receive a picture and further information about your sponsored child as well as periodic letters from your child.

Your $35 monthly donation provides a Bible, school tuition and a uniform, a daily lunch, a new pair of shoes each year, and medical care. These provisions are considered a rare privilege to the children of Uganda.
